I first began reading Merry’s blogs about a year ago, when I joined a now defunct blogging community. I was immediately impressed with her voice, which was so calm and self-assured. As the community died off, I followed Merry onto Blogspot and began reading her more avidly.
Even her title, Mom and More, is so perfect. Merry writes about being a mom and about being a writer with equal passion and beauty. Every time I read her blog, I learn something about being a writer and a mother. Her comments section is like a writer’s forum (or sometimes a parent’s forum), filled with wonderful discussions and insights. Her sidebar is filled with great resources too.
Merry is the kind of person who doesn’t erase your link, even though your site keeps crashing her computer. Merry is the kind of person who responds to all comments thoughtfully. Merry is the kind of person who sincerely wants to know what you think. (I realize that this is a blog review and not a person review, but it’s kind of hard to separate the blog from the person, isn’t it?)
I love reading Merry’s blog. I love hearing about her writing process. I enjoy learning from her. Her posts are always well-written and interesting. I’m honored that she reads my blog at all.

First of all, awe… (add the little kid squeal like when you see a puppy or small baby do something ridiculously cute).
I was actually really bummed when I couldn’t read your blog, it’s one of my favorites so I was reading a lot more than you probably knew about as I wasn’t able to comment much for a while there…
